BESPOKE ‘EDWARDIAN’ GREENHOUSES...

Our most popular and versatile specification, we produce many bespoke ‘Edwardian’ greenhouses, designed and manufactured to suit our customers’ exact requirements.

We can produce an ‘Edwardian’ greenhouse (freestanding or lean to) to any precise dimensions you specify (length, width, base wall height, and door opening) and incorporate whatever individual features you choose.

The flexibility of the design allows us to adjust the proportions to tackle any hurdles thrown up by unusual site conditions, and to produce greenhouses to exactly fit existing base walls.

• Above is a mono-pitch Edwardian lean-to, which was manufactured to fit an existing base wall. It has side vents, cold frames and staging down one side.
• Left is a large free-standing greenhouse, with side vents (and a cold frame, far side). Staging and a higher shelf was required all the way around.
• Below is a much smaller three-quarter span design (roof goes up to ridge and then back down to rear wall), finished in mid-green. Also with side vents, staging and a higher shelf.

To complement the design and features chosen, our 'Edwardian' greenhouses can be finished in a wide range of colours (see our colours page).

Automatic roof vents, 4mm toughened safety glass throughout, and a mortise and tenon door (with antique style black door furniture) are all included as standard, and staging / shelving, side vents and cold frames can be individually made to fit your greenhouse in whatever arrangement you require.

OPTIONS/EXTRAS

All our greenhouses are made from the same high quality materials, but there are a range of additional features we can incorporate into the design of your ‘Edwardian’ greenhouse:

• Staging & shelving in a variety of configurations (any combination of sides and/or end). Made from treated Cedar (natural timber finish). See our accessories page for more details.
• Treated Cedar window sill boards. In the absence of staging, some people like these to cover the top of the brickwork
• Galvanised steel rainwater goods, polyester coated to match the greenhouse; instead of the standard P.V.Cu.
• Top hung side vents in Cedar. We can add these manually operated side vents; you specify in which bays they are required
• Cold frames; normally integrated with the greenhouse, but also available as a separate freestanding unit.
• Side louvres; toughed glass blades. Ideal if you require side ventilation in a position where space outside would be an issue with a normal side vent
• Internal partitions: divide the interior of your greenhouse into separate areas to create different growing environments
• Bespoke ‘porch’ style entrance. Move the door into the long side of your greenhouse with this elegant design feature. It can be done one of two ways;
  • A full porch style entrance with a protruding brickwork base
  • Just a porch style roof; base work remaining flush with the side of the greenhouse
• Ridge cresting. In cast aluminium, powder coated to match the greenhouse; for those who would like a more ornate look
