THE MAIN FEATURES OF OUR GREENHOUSES
All our greenhouses, both large and small, are made the same way, from the same high quality materials.
- Sides and Gables: The side and gable-end frames (vertical elevations) of all our greenhouses are made from top quality Western Red Cedar, a naturally rot resistant timber, sourced from sustainably managed Canadian forests. These timber frames, constructed to our traditional designs, give our customers the character and feel of a genuine period glasshouse.
Finish: The wooden greenhouse frames are finished in a high performance three coat paint system, to a colour of your choice. The result is a very durable combination which ensures our customers their greenhouse will stand the test of time.- Door: A mortise and tenon door, hung either side, opening inwards. Made from Western Red Cedar and finished to match the side frames.
- Door furniture: Black Antique iron as standard across all our ranges.
- Aluminium Roof components: Polyester coated aluminium extrusions,
to match the side frames in both colour and profile. - Glazing: 4mm ‘one-piece’ toughened glass units throughout on all our ranges.
- Ventilation: Automatically controlled individual roof vents. Each roof vent on all our greenhouses is fitted with a Bayliss temperature controlled vent opener as standard.
- Rainwater goods: P.V.Cu guttering and downpipes in black, brown or white are fitted on all our ‘Edwardian’ and ‘Deco’ greenhouses.
On our ‘Victorian’ greenhouses we use Lindab galvanised steel rainwater goods, polyester coated to match the greenhouse. - In all cases, lead flashings provided and fitted where necessary (on lean-to greenhouses).
- Stainless steel reinforcing tie-bars where appropriate (larger greenhouses). Powder coated to match.
