Site Information
SITE ASSESSMENTS
Where necessary we will visit the site of a proposed greenhouse to make a full assessment of the suitability of the project.
- This is to take accurate measurements of the site and/or base work
- It gives us an opportunity to identify and avoid any potential complications which may arise from unusual site conditions.
- We will arrange to visit at a time convenient for you.
- Please ensure that access to the site/any existing base walls is clear.
- Depending on the details of initial discussions about the proposed project a visit may not be required (a site visit is less likely to be necessary for smaller or more straightforward greenhouses).
Once the initial stage is complete, and our design has been approved we always provide a fixed price quotation for the job, which will be the complete price you pay with no hidden extras.
- This fixed price includes delivery, installation and VAT.
- Site visits (where required), advice and quotations are provided without obligation.
BASE WALLS

It is more cost effective to have the dwarf brick walls to which we will fit your greenhouse constructed by a local builder or tradesperson. They will be able to source materials locally at the best rates, and are in a position to make repeat visits to the site if necessary without incurring prohibitive travelling costs. For this reason we do not include the cost of the base walls in our prices.
- We provide a detailed plan for your builder showing a layout of the brickwork required with accurate dimensions.
- We are always happy to liaise directly with your builder to ensure a smooth process; provide us with your builder’s contact information and we’ll speak to them if there are any queries.
- If you have base walls from an existing/previous greenhouse we can design a bespoke greenhouse to fit them exactly.
SITE PREPARATION INFORMATION
At White Cottage we deliver and install all our greenhouses, and guarantee the hands-on involvement of a company director at every installation. We always aim for the installation of your greenhouse to be a smooth process, finished on time and with a minimum of disruption.
We will need electricity and water supply on site, and in order for the installation to progress efficiently we simply require that the base work is finished correctly and that the site is accessable.
