The ‘Victorian’
BESPOKE VICTORIAN GREENHOUSES
Our highest specification of greenhouse, the ‘Victorian’ uses our heaviest and most ornate timber profiles to accurately replicate the style of the classic period glasshouses which were produced during their heyday in the 1900s.
Normally used for wider span greenhouses (over 10ft), all our Victorian glasshouses are bespoke; we produce buildings in freestanding, 3/4 span and mono-pitch designs, to suit our customers precise requirements.

All our 'Victorian' greenhouses are designed using computer models (CAD); either a unique design from scratch, or to closely resemble an existing or previous glasshouse which is to be replaced.
We use the same materials in all our greenhouses, but the ‘Victorian’ incorporates larger timber/aluminium profiles and additional features to enhance the traditional Victorian appearance.
Features include:.jpg)
- Larger timber profiles with more ornate machining, such as the rafter beams in the roof, and mullions in the sides
- Automatically controlled roof ventilators over the full length of the greenhouse
- Manually operated side ventilators
- ‘Lindab’ Galvanised steel rainwater goods as standard (polyester powder coated to match the greenhouse, or to a colour of your choice)
- Large timber rafter beams create a feature inside the roof
- Bayliss mark VII 'Super' automatic vent openers as standard
- Cast aluminium Eaves brackets (powder coated to match)
Optional extras include:
- Cedar staging and shelving in a variety of configurations.
- Treated Cedar window sill boards
- Option to salvage and refurbish original ironwork, incorporating it into the new glasshouse
- Internal partitions: divide the interior of your greenhouse into separate areas to create different growing environments
- Ridge cresting. In cast aluminium, powder coated to match the greenhouse (not mono-pitch designs)
