Bespoke Edwardian freestanding greenhouse with porch
WhY ADD A GREENHOUSE PORCH?
A porch entrance is an attractive way to incorporate the door if it needs to be in one of the longer sides of the freetanding greenhouse or may simply be used as a way of adding to the architectural interest of the building.
A full porch with glazed sides and base walls gives a space for the door to open into and often works well with cold frames either side.
The proportional relationship of a greenhouse porch with the main body of the building means that some precise sizes and positions work a little better than others – let us know what you’re looking for we will be able to advise on the closest ideal dimensions and provide an estimate or quotation to assist the planning of your project.

WHEN SPACE IS MORE LIMITED
Maintain a rectangular footprint
The alternative to a greenhouse porch is a dormer feature above the door – an overhanging roof gives the appearance of the porch without the protruding base walls, keeping the front flush and the footprint rectangular. If you have flexibility on dimensions, then our Signature Croft greenhouse may also be of interest.

Bespoke Design
Asymmetric or cruciform
A greenhouse porch is normally positioned centrally but can be towards one end of a longer freestanding greenhouse if desired, on both sides to give a cruciform shape, or even a combination of these to create a more complex rectilinear footprint.
